Our Helpful Staff

Dave Parker

A licensed technician since 1984, Dave grew up in the automotive business, starting off washing Post Office trucks at his father's Shell gas station when he was 9 years old. He started his apprenticeship at Civic Motors in 1979. From 1982-1990 he worked with his father at Merivale Service Center; he also had a brief stint as a Shell dealer before leaving to open Parker Auto Care in late 1990.

Dave currently holds full 310s and 310t Automotive Service Technician qualifications as well as an NIASE Master Technicians certificate. He is also licensed by OMVIC to buy and sell used cars and holds a valid Ozone Depleting Substance card.

You'll find Dave at the front counter booking appointments and organizing the staff all day, every day.

Bob Parker

A founding member of Parker Auto Care, Bob only joined the on-site staff here about 9 years ago. Fully qualified as a "Class A" technician since 1965, he brings a wealth of experience to the business after having run almost every Shell service station in the area over the past 40 years. He finished his career with Shell when he left Merivale Service Center after 35 years and joined the staff here.

You'll find him behind the front counter in the morning, or taking care of all the paperwork for the business.

Paolo (Paul) Cuconato

As the longest-standing employee of the business next to Dave, Paul is well-known to most of our customers. Paul joined the organization as an apprentice 17 years ago. He is now a fully certified Brake and Suspension Specialist.

You can find him servicing vehicles in the shop every day from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Joel Troscinski

Joel started his career at Parker Auto Care as a co-operative education student in 1996. After completing high school he served his full apprenticeship at the shop and is currently fully licensed as a 310s technician. Joel is a familiar face to most customers at the shop, moving freely between his bay and the front counter. He is a well rounded technician, with experience at almost everything we do.

You can find Joel here every day from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ryan O'Grady

Ryan started as a coop student 10 years ago and is now our most recently licensed technician. His hours are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Dan Jones

Dan joined the staff here in 2003, and finished the final leg of his apprenticeship at Parker Auto Care, earning his 310s qualifications in 2005. He spends most of his time on longer, more tedious jobs, such as clutches and head gaskets.

Dan can be found in the shop from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Matt O'Neill

Matt is the most recent addition to come out of the Ottawa Carleton Separate School Board's Co-operative Education Program. He joined our staff in 2003 as a shop helper, and has worked his way through to the end of his apprenticeship. Matt performs a variety of different tasks in the shop, from tires to engine replacements, clutches and electrical work. Matt has completed all of his hours and is now a certified technician.

You can find Matt in the shop from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Jason Parker

One thing that we like to do at Parker Auto Care is keep the place clean, and that's where Jason comes in.

Jason cleans the shop on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Brandon Johnson

Brandon is our newest addition and is well on his way to his qualifications in the trade after just succesfully completing the first leg of his schooling. You can find Brandon here Tuesday to Friday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Nick

Our newest coop placement, Nick, has just recently joined the crew and will be here full time until late April. His mission: To smooth out all the bumps on our 1951 Pontiac Project Car and get it ready for the August Customer Appreciation Day.
